Could someone reading this post please give me some directions regarding how to set up officeserv 7200 to make announcements via a handset to room speakers. is this possible and are there more than one option - solution?
I read that I have to install a mis daughter card on officeserv 7200 to allow external paging. is this the functionality I should be focusing?

You are correct about the misc card. This is a daughter card which is connected on the mcp/mp20 card.
If.you have external moh then you will already have a.misc card.
You will need to connect 1 of the page ports on the misc card via a line isolation unit to an input on the amp which the speakers are connected to.
You will then need to program that external page port into an external page zone.
You will thorn be able to page via either a page key on a handset, or via the page feature code (55 by default)
