Hello,
I am in the process of replacing a Merlin phone system with a NEC SL1100
They currently have a loud bell in the shop which is attached to a phone that's going thru an SAA
Does anyone know if I can reuse this device using an analog port
or do I need to use another device
I tried to wire an analog port right to the pair of wires that are connected to the bell it worked but there was some kind of noise coming out of the bell continuously
Thanks!

Go get a viking M2W and attach to the speaker leads to the NEC phone. It works good and and ring and accept pages thru it.

A Bell will work with an SLT port on the NEC SL1100, the way Loud Bells normaly work is that you need one leg connected to the system and the other leg connected to a ground. Will the bell ring when you call its extension number? If not it sounds like both legs are connected to the system.
