I do the MACs for about 30 Inter-Tel systems ranging from Axxess 5.1 to the 5000s on the latest version.
Here at our home office, we have an Axxess version 9.0 When dialing a phone number, I can press the Mute key to backup if I misdial. It backs up one number for each time I press it.
On my Houston 5000 system, version 2.3.6.47, this feature doesn't work. I was walking someone through forwarding a phone to an outside number, and it does work when doing that, but not when you are just dialing a number.
Is that feature no longer available, or am I needing to change a flag somewhere?

You need to use ARS as your 'Outgoing Extension' for that to work. Go to System\Devices and Feature Codes\Endpoints\Specific Endpoint\Associated Extensions. Make sure yer outgoing Ext is ARS. You may want to make sure ARS is programmed correctly first.
