Morning everyone-
3 or 4 times in the last week a group of mailboxes have disappeared from the AXXTALK. You can see them in the bottom list to be created so we do and everyone has to rerecord everything and they lose all messages. The extensions are on different cards. We defragged/scanned hard drive, it does have some bad spots on it. If it were the drive wouldn't different mailboxes disappear? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Is it the same mailboxes all 3 or 4 times or random boxes?

We defragged/scanned hard drive,

That's good, it's the first thing i would of tried. It also doesn't hurt to do this once a year or so depending on the traffic in the voicemail.

If it were the drive wouldn't different mailboxes disappear?

Think you may have answered my first question here.

Ok so the hard drive does have bad spots on it and it could directly affect the same mailboxes depending on what sectors are bad and where these mailboxes were created on the drive. What you could do for a temporary fix, because you should replace that drive, is let the voicemail delete the mailboxes in question. Instead of re-creating them, create 3 or 4 dummy boxes, or however many mailboxes are affected, to fill in those bad spots and then re-create the needed mailboxes.

Have you checked the voicemail logs and error logs to see what they have to say?
