My son is looking into a new business opportunity, and wants a phone number to advertise. He would like to forward calls from the advertised number to his cell phone. If someone else is taking the calls, then forward to another number.
Could go with local telco or cable company and pay a monthly fee for a "regular" landline. But he really just needs a number and a forwarding feature.
A google number would probably work for this. Maybe Magic Jack? Any suggestions on the right way to do this? Can you get an 800 number for this?
Thank you. Jim

CallCentric and VoIP.ms will do this. Plus autoattendant, voicemail to e-mail, and a zillion other features. Usually able to get a local number too.
