Quick question. My apologies if this has been covered as I assume it has but how is Avaya IP Office affected by the SIP ALG feature in some routers. Basically, my company specializes in one brand that is not pure IP but obviously uses Voip and the Voip phones are pretty much unusable on the Cisco DPC 3939b and 3941 modems from the ISP's. Im sure you guys know the symptoms but our customers and I are pretty much at wits end. We've tried everything and nothing except swapping out the modems back to SMC and Netgear Business Gateways seems to work. Again, we are thinking of taking on Avaya. Any feed back about how they are with the DPC modems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Avaya doesnt work with SIP ALG, should be turned off on all routers.
There are also problems with deep packet inspections...these must also be disabled. In Cisco it is the fixup commands that need disabling..
