We have a Starplus STS system. Today I need to change the main greeting on the administrator voice mail. (the message people hear when they call us that gives them info and a list of extensions to dial for various people.) The default Administrator password is NOT working. So I dial in to the voicemail system (150) Enter * and # Dial #00 and hear "Mailbox 15-00" Then I hear "please enter your password" which we have never changed from the DEFAULT XXXX (no passwords please). BUT when I enter that is says "invalid password" HELP! What do I do?

Hi Leslie,
It's been a while, but I think you're going to have to default the voice-mail to reset the password. Of course that means you'll have to reprogram everything.
Let's see if someone else remembers a way around this.

You can default it using a db9 straight thru serial cable and hyperterm. You might try resetting the vm with the reset button located on the voice mail card first. If the password has not been changed then it could just be locked out.
The admin mailbox password can only be changed by entering the correct password and then accessing the option to change or recover a mailbox password in vm administration and then changing the password, it cannot happen on its own. This is the only method of changing that password.

Thanks everyone! I will try all of that and hope one of them is the fix. Appreciate it.
