HI
I have a TDE 100 and am trying to install a KX-TDA0158. I have made my ine cord 8 pin connector. The LED flashed red but never goes green. When I check the port statis the main port says OUS when I try to put the port INS I get an error the says card obstacle. The system is ver 5.3. Can I upgrade directly to Ver 8? Thanks

TDE100 is only up to v7 (in US), unless you're posting from the future then you might be right. The card obstacle is your issue. The system doesn't like that card, I bet you can't put a digital phone on that same card. What cards do you have installed in the TDE?

It only needs a digital port, up to 4, on the second pair from switch.
Your software is fine.

I have my voice running on this card and 4 KX-TDA0155. I will try to connect a digital set. The KX-TDA0158 requires 4 digital ports in a row.

It's the way you made your line cord. If you made it stright through the pairs are wrong. Had the same problem and had to play with moving the pairs until the unit went green.
