I am with Bill and MooreTel. Wear an old Klein toolbelt/pouch that carries my most used tools....cutters, needlenose, black tape, straight and phillps screwdrivers, punchdown, scotchlook crimper, buttset, knife, and pick.

I carry a tool tote https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-10-in-All-Purpose-Tote-81834N09/202018009#.UaLpWtgWQqM for most of my stuff, buttset, meter, toners, crimp tool, cordless drill, etc. For my hand tools, I bought a small nylon pouch that clips to my belt or fits in my pocket flap. It's enough for my punchdown tool, markers, scissors, cable cutter, pliers, probe, and screwdriver. It broke through after a year or so, but I got another one, then took them both to a shoe repair guy and had leather reenforcements put on the bottom of the pouch.

I still carry my "gamefisher" parts box and I picked up another plastic box carrier that holds 4 boxes. They are labelled with day parts for cable or a/v and a couple of spares.

I have a tool box in the van for the heavy stuff.

I think I'm going to re-evaluate how I carry my tools. Right now I have an entire back seat of my extended cab truck full of junk along with a bucket in the front with my most frequently used stuff.

Maybe it's time to consolidate unless the boss buys me a service van or truck with a top!

Smart move Dave..I tried one of those bags for awhile..waste of time...everytime I set it down somewhere and walked to do something I needed something out of the bag..ended up filling all my pockets with tools...PITA !!! Went back to my ole trusty Bell pouch...Life is good again !!!

...bob...

PS: Gave that stupid bag to my wife..she uses it for her "garden tools" LOL

One of the first techs I worked with carried a canvas rigger's bag. I always liked that setup but have never found one locally.

Anyone know where I could find one?

I have the same Bell Telephone issue pouch I was given when I worked for Mother. I have replaced the belt twice, but I really like to not have to search for a tool when I'm working.

With all the test equipment I have to carry now, I have separate bags for the test equipment. I got the bags from Home Depot. I think they are Husky bags.
