Customer has OS500 R2 with SVMI8e. Wants to renumber stations to match new DID's (7701-7799 or 701 to 799) Good idea or bad idea?
I have heard renumbering like this could corrupt the database down the road. Thanks.

The good news is they are going to pay for it. What about the voicemail integration? will there be any issues with email gateway etc?

Make sure you are not changing extensions to some features without changing the features first.
For instance DND is 40 and you wanted to make a bunch of extensions of 400 to 499 you would have to get rid of ACCT (47), CAMP (45), CANMG (42), CBK (44), SETMG (41) or reassign them to other numbers in MMC724.
You really need to check out 724 and be careful what DIDs you are using.

Thanks Bunny. The nice thing is the trunks (701) would be swapped for the stations (201). So I would not be changing any feature digits. Would this be correct?

I have a customer, 500 R2, and we swapped the Trunk numbers with the extension mumbers. All trunks 2xx, stations 7xx. NO problems at all. Been runming for thr last 6 years with an issue, except the power supplies.
