I need help in interfacing my 14 year old still working Comdial Impact II 1632 DSU system with a Windows Dialer embedded in my CRM System. I have Impact 8024 phones. I am going backwards from my VOIP system because of reliability issues.
Can this be done- I am loathe to give up my dialer feature (which embeds a record showing whom I called in CRM system)
Thanks in advance
Tom

The DSUs used a piece of hardware called PCIU with TAPI software. It was only certified on WIN 95/98 era software..don't know if later versions worked. I think I still have several new units on the shelf.
There were later CTI apps that required a software dongle and Windows PC. Can't remember if they worked on DSUs- I know they worked on DXPs, FXs, and MP5000s.

Hi,
The CTI apps only worked on FXII and up. WOuld not work on the DSU. You could go to a FXII and find the key etc etc. Or you could go to the new Wave 500 or 2500 system and reuse the old Comdial phones. You can look on my web site to get an idea of what the Wave can do.
