It appears we have just solved the problem with a 7200 with expansion. First I thought we had a bad power supply and the main cabinet was swapped with the expansion cabinet, that lasted OK for a week.
Then the system was resetting more and more frequently and we tried replacing the MCP because we were seeing errors, but 20 minutes after the system went down again.
How could both power supplies be bad? They were both made in the same factory, with the same parts on the same day, like DUH!
We had prices on NEW and REFURB cabinets, but you can BUY just the power supply, MUCH CHEAPER.
So if you have an emergency and have to run and get something locally in a rush, you don't have to buy the whole cabinet, backplane, power supply and all, just the POWER SUPPLY but I had to weasel this out of a repair tech, no one offers this info.
I thought I had posted this info once, but it seems to have disappeared.
