Hi,
I just installed a new PRI card for a client. They like to be able to divert calls using the system speed dial by grabbing another line and connecting the caller. Any idea what options to change to allow that to happen?

I might be wrong but I think IDS won't divert over PRI Lines. They need to be either Regular t-1 or analog in order to do that.

There are ways to get it done depending on what you have in the system to use. Are you trying to forward a call, patch a call, or do an unsupervised conf call?

Call divert or call forward using system speed bins setup in the g screen cannot go out over the PRI you do require a pots/1mb line to do get the call out of the system.

If you use the speed bin 30 on the phone speed dial. Set up a special call forward button on the phone that you want to divert the calls from. I forget what the key code was on the button. But you could store under the ssd 30, the phone # and it would work on a pri circuit. I think you had to put in the trunk group that the pri was in, to go out on, to make it work.

I know this is cheating but it works and you do not need to use a specific speed dial. This will work with system speed dial bin or with call divert. I don't remember if it works for station forwarding to an outside number as I beleive the system looks at the station access.
Set up a couple of analog ports to Prime line to the PRI. Connect those analog ports to some analog trunks in the system. Put those analog trunks in the same trunk group as the PRI. Make sure the analog trunk line numbers are higher in the numbering sequence than the PRI lines. Pri 1-23 analog trunks 25-26 Deny outbound access on all phones to lines 25 and 26. The phone system will still be allowe to dial out on the analog trunks that are connected to the analog ports that are dialing out on the PRI.

I was able to divert calls on Eclipse 2.0 software only. we have systems running today with divert working. it fails on Eclipse 2.5.0 and newer.
let me know what software you have? Try to use that software and it might work. backup the phone system so you can allways put it back the way it is. Don't forget to set LCR Centrex option to Y in M screen. this sets up a delay in the software and helps with the divert a lot.
