l varner Member Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 1 AR	We're having a problem with 10 year old Executone IDS 42 resetting at random - during business hours. Our cabinet is located in a utility closet where electricians and others have been working - going in and out and slamming the door. It seems the activity and the resetting have something to do with one another - my boss is getting tired of his calls being dropped when the reset occurs. there have been days when the phone resets between 5 - 10 times per hour. I checked the cards and power supply to make sure things were set in good. Can't determine the problem and I can't replace the phone right now. any advice? i

If so, this is indicative of what happens when the batteries in them start to fail. I'd check and if there is one, bypass it by plugging directly into the wall outlet for a week or so to see what happens. I'm pretty sure that your system is more than ten years old. Despite the fact that you have a very stable system, I must agree that it may be time to start looking for a replacement. Ed Vaughn, MBSWWYPBX
