Ok Ive been battling this PROTEGEVoice SVP-4 system and I think I know where the problem is. I am trying to add a mailbox and am connected to the mail using Procomm as the Protege manual recommends however when I attempt to define the mailbox type by depressing the "ALT" key and the letter "Y" the "SD" light on Procomms RS232 indicator the "SD" (send data) light never blinks, therefore I am unable to assign the mailbox type. Has anyone seen this issue and or does anyone know the fix to my problem? I really appreciate any and all input if anyone has any ideas or suggestions. Thanks fellas FLdiver

You're making it too hard. (or the manual is ) Here is the easiest way: - In Mailbox Administration press [F3] Clear Screen.
- When the options Clear Screen.......? (y/n) enter Y
- Now you will have blank form.
- Enter the number of the mailbox you wish to create and press ENTER.
- The screen will stste Information Not Found..[F1] For Closest. _____| To Continue
- Press the Enter key and you will now have created the new mail box.
Remember to press [F5]Save when you are done. You can write down all the settings from an existing mailbox of the same type for ease of data entry.

that does not work if you do not put in a mailbox type when you hit F5 to save you get an error mailbox type. I have found that to choose a type you have to hit "ALT"Y but procomm never sends that data Im stuck
