Nope ain't gonna happen.

The software to connect to the Protege system is DOS based through a DB-9 serial cable.

Windows XP does connect when using the CMD command. I have heard from some folks that they could not get a connection using the Windows Pro version.

Each Portege cabinet contains software version and one version will not talk a higher version. For example F3.F17 programming software will not communicate with a F3.F45 version KSU.

If you remove the cover on your CTX cabinet you should see 2 memory chips in slots U-13 and U14 (these should be parallel to the Heartbeat LED on the side of the cabinet)

You might see comething like:

K32S3.F14
U-13

The K32 means it is a CTX cabinet.
The S3 is the major revision number.
The.F14 is the minor revision number.

I can get you the correct software if you need, however if have done have the needed experience in telecommunications it might be best to search for a vendor in Idaho who would then be responsible if a mistake made.

If you have never done this before and do not have experience in telecommunications...

This is not an easy 1+1=2. It's the the same in your line of work, I would never think of trying to despense legal advice...I leave it to the professionals.
