Is it possible to turn features like FlexiCall on and off via the terminal interface (as opposed to doing this from the station set itself)?

Thanks!

Yes.

You can do it via FEAT - Control branch.

Some of the features like FLX can be switched on and off via an IRSS call into the station from the remote extension.

I think you have to be version 14 or better to do this BTW.

We have version 14.15.09, but I'm not finding anything in the features menu related to "Flex".

Here are the available options:
CHOOSE FEATURE

1 - ATTEND_MSG 18 - HOT_TK_IMM
2 - CF_ALL 19 - I/C_ONLY_TK
3 - CF_BUSY 20 - TK_RSRVD
4 - DONT_DIST 21 - NIGHT-1
5 - HOT_ST_IMM 22 - NIGHT-2
6 - DIAL_LOCK 23 - EXC_HOLD
7 - HOT_ST_DELAY 24 - PRIVACY
8 - DIR_IN_LINE 25 - O/G_ONLY_TK
9 - TERMIN_ONLY 26 - CHECK_OUT
10 - ORIGIN_ONLY 27 - TIMED_FWD
11 - ST_BLOCKING 28 - CLR_ID_RESTR
12 - O/G_TK_RESTR 29 - LAR_BLOCKED
13 - CF_NO_ANS 30 - CF_EXT_ALL
14 - BUSY_OUT 31 - CF_EXT_BUSY
15 - CO_BLOCKED 32 - CF_NO_ANS_EXT
16 - HOT_TK_DELAY 33 - TIMED_FWD_EXT
17 - DROP_NO_DIAL 34 - PERM/TMP_PORT

The IRSS feature sounds really useful (call in from a remote phone to activate off-premise forwarding), but I'm not sure we have it.

Currently, we're turning the FlexiCall feature on and off from the station set using button programming like this:

KEYSET BUTTONS
==============
0)
1) #17710 6008
2) #17710 #10

If I don't have an option for Flex in my features menu, does that mean it is not possible to turn the feature on from a command line (via terminal)?

Thanks guys.

Must be 14.66 or later then. Actually you shouldn't need the 2nd key to turn it off.

FlexiCall can only be turned on and off from the terminal in ver 14.66 or higher. In earlier versions (ver 11.xx and higher) the feature was called "Cellular" and you will find it in the features authorizations list. It REQUIRES on button to turn the feature and one to turn at each phone using the Cellular feature.

Actually that is false. You don't need a button to activate and deactivate flexicall but the feature codes. It's much easier WITH the buttons though.

Yep...sorry Coral Tech...I wasn't thinking about dialing the codes, but programming them under buttons instead...thanks for the correction.
