Hi.
What is my best bet if I wanted to setup the outside of my house with security cameras?
IP Cameras or standard Camera with some kind of DVR/Web server setup?

Depends on your budget. For a house though, I would use analog cameras. Here is a link to entry level (my opinion only) camera equipment that I have used in the past. Works great for certain applications. https://www.luxonvideo.com/
