We have a few Omega IX IP phones. One of them was moved from the home of the user to an office inside the same building as the ADIX box.

The extension is staying the same however now we get one way communication. They had the IWATSU guy come and he called them and told me to open UDP 5000-5998, TCP 50000, and RPT 6004-6998.

I'm not even sure what type of port RPT is but I opened those ports on TCP and UDP for the hell of it . We are just using a D-Link router so I forwarded all those ports to that phone's IP address.

The phone is picking an IP address from a Windows Server 2003 DHCP box. It has NAT enabled.

I can't figure out what else to do...besides blow up the phones. LoL smile

We need a little more info.

By one-way, do you mean interal calls, external calls and which way is missing.

All the ports you were told to open deal with IP phones off-premise. By in the same building, are you on the same network as the switch, or just 'in the same building'?

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

I would check the configuration on the phone and make sure it is using the private IP of the phone switch now that it is located (presumably) on the same LAN as the box. This way, it isn't going out onto the internet and then back in, in order to get somewhere. Check that out.
