can anyone tell me how to connect to my adix system to program it i've used the cat5 cable to connect and it still does not connect to it.

Is this a VS, ECS, APS? Do you have the Iwatsu serial adaptor? A straight Cat 5 won't work. If it's an ECS you can connect directly with a crossover to Lan 1 witht the default IP. Do you have the proprietary software?

We'll need a little more information to help you out.

its an aps and i don't have an iwatsu serial adapter. my cpu/hw card has a an rj45 port on it that is supposed to be the pc programming port i also have the software tah came with it which is the iwatsu programmer and the adix programmer

you'll need a faxo65 or even a homemade serial adapter to connect.

I use the Iwatsu serial adaptor to a USB adaptor and connect the cat 5 to the Iwatsu adaptor and the APS programming port. Works (almost!) everytime. Some of the cabling guys here might be able to tell you how to trick out a cable to mimic the adaptor. Then you connect via a com port on your pc.

i have a serial adapter that on one end you plug in the cat 5 cable and the other end that goes into the serial port of my computer
