I'm trying to figure out the best way to loop about 7 or 8 appearances of our CO line on a 66-block. The wiring in the building I'm in is very old, and I'd like to re-wire with a 66-block, in preparation for another project that will be quickly upon me.
Could I do this:
1. On the line that comes from the demarc point, put an RJ21 jack onto the end of it (for easy disconnect from the CO), and then from that jack, run a two-pair wire to the termination block (66-block split M), and punch it down seven or eight times without cutting (to loop), and then on the final appearance, punch and cut.
2. Then, connect jacks on the right side, and use bridging clips to bring the two sides together.
--- Do I have the right idea? Thanks very much for your help.
