Unflag on this requires the customer to press '00' to hear message caller ID, date.

Just want to verify this and that there is no a work around. In other words, is date play only available since CID shows on the display.

I dont understand, are you trying to just hear the caller ID and not the date?

I tried it here and even if I turn off Caller ID, the voicemail says "from: a public caller". I havent been able to see how else you can separate them

That makes sense, but that is different. I guess what the customer is asking us to do isn't possible. Either you hear the caller ID and date (on a caller-ID enabled system) or neither.

The receptionist hearing 'message forward from general mailbox' when he gets a message auto-forwarded from box 299 is normal and can't be stopped without having the same happen system-wide. I am sure they still want when someone manually forwards a message for the recipient to hear that flag.
