Anybody know how to train the vm or trick the vm to send a call to a cell phone w/the alternate number feature.I installed this system on friday and it worked fine but come in on monday and customer says it quit working. After making some test calls I found that it does send the call to the cell phone and then drops the cell phone and puts the caller in the MB, but it does not say "This call is for_______ to accept press 1 etc.....". In my activity log it says "unrecognized cadence".It does work on a POTS line, and did work on the cell phone Ive even tried w/different cell carriers.Tech support said to use the suffix of ,,,,,H.But that only transfer the call and does not allow you to reject it back into your MB.

7100 4.04 yes i know the software is older but it did work for one day and that is what the customer is holding me with. Please Help

You could try a suffix of ,,,W

The W is a wait for answer character, the amount of comma's needed may vary but each one is a 1 second pause.

What does the log say when a call goes to the extension / mailbox in question? Does the system try to perform the offprem call?

Sometimes there ARE ghosts in the machine. I use MSN Live, ask me for the addy if you want.

it makes the call to the cell but when you answer, the vm never respond to the "hello" all you hear is the disconnect and the caller gets put in the mb. every thing in the log looks normal except when it gets to the cell phone answering it says "unrecognized cadence"

I had the exact same problem a few months ago on a 7100. I set up Message Alert in mbx 201. Voicemail would call ( and successfully reach) the cell phone and I would get maybe 1 out of 15 attempts that worked correctly. Trace said the same thing on the failed attempts "unrecognized cadence". I tried different cell networks with the same result. Calls to a landline worked fine.

I Reported this to my Tac, and they said they went to Samsung with it. The response I got back was "the 7100 can not Train". He said Samsung is aware of the problem, but did not give a fix.

The customer has not pressed us to resolve it so as of now it still does not work.

Look in Station Block. Add H as a suffix and 8 for Number of rings.
