I am installing a Prostar 816 system we bought used. Have my lines run and have successfully gotten two phones to function. When I hooked up the third line--I now have line 8 showing as busy (we only have two incoming voice lines) and two extensions are lit up. I have not done any programming as of yet. I have a copy of the manual, but it doesn't give much on troubleshooting. I have line one connected into CO1.CO2 and line two connected into CO3.CO4. Did I goof and should they both be connected into one port. Any help would be most appreciated!!! Thanks. :db:

Line 1 should be connected on the center pins of the CO1.CO2; Line 2 should be connected on the next outer pair.
Have you defaulted the system? Sounds like there could be junk in the memory. The manual will have info on that procedure.

OK, I thought that might be the problem.. No I haven't defaulted it yet, that was my next step. It does have all the old extensions left in it for sure. Thanks for the push in the right direction.
