I have a customer with 12 28B keysets and one copper trunk (its a residence). Here is the problem -->> I am on the line and another call comes in - I hear the call waiting tone so I hit the flash key - it puts the first call on hold and answers the second call just like it's supposed to do --->> here's the problem ---> when the second party hangs up the line gets disconnected -->> thus disconnecting the first party that was on hold. Just another note -->> even If I flash back to the original call, when the system detects the second call drop it also disconnects the line and whoever is on it.

If I use a butt set, there is no problem, it works fine - just on the digital keysets. Oh yeah - this happens on 4.14K as well as the New BETA 4.22 - any help would be great thanks in advance

The CO Disconnect from the carrier is causing the system to drop the call. There is a way to change what the system looks for to drop the call, I just don't remember where. You could also conact the carrier and ask them to turn of the CO Disconnect.

Just a shot in the dark but are you sure the first caller is actually put on hold?Is the line set up as a co line or a pbx line?I would try the PBX setting and see if it makes a difference.

You can manipulate the CO disconnect via the CO disconnect timer. Make it as long as possible.

The downside is the trunk will not release for a while. Also enable trunk tone detect.
