Hi all,
I am having grief setting up a H323 trunk from an iDCS 500 to an Avaya IP Office. I have H323 trunks working between multiple Avaya IP offices no problem.
When I make a call from the Avaya to the Samsung, I have two way comms (packet captured confirmation) and they setup a H225 channel, I have audio from Avaya to Samsung, but not the other way. I also do not get ringback on the Avaya handset. Ringback Tone and Relay Ringback are enabled on the Samsung.
The Samsung is sending the RTP packets, but they are getting rejected by the Avaya as port unreachable.
In the H225 setup messages the Avaya sets H245 tunneling TRUE, but the Samsung sets it FALSE, this I think is the cause of the problem. H245 tunneling is set to ENABLE on the Samsung, but its not enabled in the call setup?
The Avaya says UDP port XYZ for RTP packets, and the Samsung is sending to that port, but the Avaya rejects it as port unreachable. The Samsung says port ABC for RTP, and the Avaya sends to that and the Samsung can hear audio. I notice that the Avaya sends with a source port of the XYZ is specified in setup, the Samsung does not send on a source of the ABC it specified during setup, dont know if this is significant or not.
For example:
the Avaya says "UDP 49152 please"
the Samsung says "UDP 10103 please"
packets from Avaya -> Samsung have src=49152 and dest=10103
packets from Samsung -> Avaya have src <>10103 and dest=49152
Is H245 tunneling to blame?
I have no option to turn it off on the Avaya, and turning it on the Samsung doesnt seem to do anything!
I am using G729A, faststart and no silence suppression, have tried G711 and other combinations with no fix.
All addressing is private, with no NAT inbetween, firewalls are open between the two.
thanks for any help
