Very soon the UMS by Samsung will be on the market. It should handle your needs, there are not too many products that have 96 ports to handle what your are wanting to do.

Make sure you have installed the optional ram card on that SVMi20. It installs below the Flash/HD. Without it, on 12-port configurations, the SVM can't keep up.

Scanjet, you are right about the IP/UMS, I wouldn't plan on that coming to the rescue.

Could you use a third party voice mail off SLI connections for the AA duties and then leave the SVMi20 to do the message taking? Not ideal at all, but maybe that could buy you some time.

How are you determining that the SVMi20 12-port is not handling the volume? All ports busy on the status screen and calls have to wait for an available port; ringing, no answer?

Not sure how SPnet would help unless you are taking about putting a second SVMi20 in an adjacent cabinet and having it perform AA duties?

You should be able to get an 8-port PC based AA/voicemail dirt cheap from someone here that could be given AA-only duties off an SLI board. No need to know fancy programming - all it is used for is AA - a greeting - they dial extension and/or directory or off to groups, right? Then the SVMi on the back end doing messaging duties only.

Not great, but better than having the account chasing you with a spear.
