I was wondering what kind of call capacity can the 7240 AAM handle? I have a customer who would like to have one installed for the upcoming election (its a city voter registars office). I have installed and programmed a 7271C's Auto Attendant before, but never the AAM. The problem is, and correct me if I'm wrong, but cant the AAM only handle 4 calls at once? They have a total of 12 CO lines and the KSU2 cabinet. Do I need the 7271C plus the 4 port expansion to handle at least 8 calls at once? What is the easiest way to accomplish the most calls being answered at one time by the Auto Attendant?

Thanks in Advance.

I've never installed one, but from what I have learned from others---it is not the best solution and seems to be more trouble than its worth---the 4 port voice mail works very nicely---even though you might not use the VM part. If you program it for "Blind" transfer, and have a menue that is "quick"--it can handle a lot of calls very quickly, because once it makes a transfer, the port frees up.

Again---this is just what I have read or heard from some other techs---I have no personal experience with the AAM. Also, the AAM doesn't seem to be a very popular piece of equipment for the DX80 or the 120. JMHO.

Perhaps there are some techs out there that have some experience with the AAM.

Stay away from the AAM it can only process 2 calls at a time and it is very, repeat very limited. The flash mail with the expansion board would be your best choice.
