I have been looking after an Impact. It is the 816 cabinet.
Customer has twelve phones and is trying to add one more.
I am having issues with the last four extension ports, I can hook up a phone (at the system) to any of them and the phone will come up and I have a display. I can not press any buttons. When I go off hook it sounds like the station is trying to dial digit.I have tried two different types of phones and have the same issue with both types.
They do not use voice mail, but "moved into" the system and I am wondering if the last four ports might be configured as voice mail ports as I do notice there are some (but not all) message lights on. Maybe the previous owners took a stand alone unit?
In the manual it says that I can default the station ports. Would/could this fix my problem?
Is there something I am completely missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

When I go off hook it sounds like the station is trying to dial digit. John that port is in a voicemail hunt group. You know how to call me. I have my cell phone on. :thumb:
