We have the DX-80 system and I would really like to be able to dial from our CID, the problem is we need to put a 1 in front of any number (all our calls from the 714 area code are now 11 digits). Is there a way to do this? Thank you.

There is. In the installer programming, you can enter your local area code and prefix so calls can be speed dialed from the caller ID registry. Your installer should be able to set this up. It is not something an end user would be able to do without some prior understanding of the system database setup. Installer programming access is required.

Thank you! Using some keywords from your post I was able to make the changes after I found the manuals I needed online. This will make my life a lot easier... You would think something this simple would have been handled by our installer, we didn't have anything in the long distance or area code fields.

good, glad you were able to handle it. That manual is not easy to figure out, and yes, your installer should have set that up as a standard procedure.
