Hi, I need some quick help hopefully with a simple issue.
I inherited a older version of ActiveVoice (7.48) running on OS2. It's connected to a Merlin Magix switch. I'm a computer guy and know enough about phone systems to be dangerous.
On Friday I made what I thought were some simple changes to the OPEN box (automated attendant) and a few other transaction boxes. My voice-mail routing works fine but now when users call the pilot number to check their voice-mail they get the opening greeting and are unable to access the VM options.
Also, I'm not sure if this is related but, I accidentally deleted a few switch integration options while trying to add dial tone detection. (We were getting tons of phantom dial tones and hang ups in the general mailbox.)
I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in Advance!!!

Are the user able to dial 9 to log into their mailboxes when AA answers? You should never mess with switch integration settings, I don't have a system here to see what you might have changed.
The most likely cause of your recorded hang-ups would be the local dial tone provider is not sending out a disconnect signal. This could be called supervise disconnect, disconnect supervision and a couple other terms I don't remember. If dial tone is coming off a channel bank or router then the feature can be turn on at that point. To test while on site, dial in when AA answers hang-up and watch the line your call came in on, it should go out within a few seconds if not time it and call in a trouble ticket to their provider.

dans,
Thank you very much for your response. I totally hear you on messing with the switch settings. Unfortunately, ActiveVoice no longer supports this system, so I'm pretty much on my own.
As far as accessing the users mailboxes, no, when you call the pilot number and hit 9, there is a long pause and then I get: "I'm sorry I did not hear your selection. Please re-enter your selection now."
Thanks a ton for your help!
