I have Repartee Voice Mail for Windows. Lately I am getting complaints from users saying there is a delay in v/m messages getting into their voice mail boxes. I use to get maybe one complaint ever six months. Now its been one or two a day. Any ideas why this is happening? Any fixes?

What system is it on? Is it SMDI or DTMF(inband) signaling? Easier terms, does it dial a code to turn the lights on and off?
If so, Make sure their are more than one port to turn on and off the lamps.
You can also set the system to do a check to make sure the lamps are on or off.

We don't have messages lights. We just use studder tone that comes from the CO via SMDI link. User are saying they check their voice mail at a certain time. later on they go back in and their is a voice mail from the day before. So they say it wasn't in their v/m box the last time they checked.

I've never had seen that type of configuration before. Sorry, I'm pretty versed at this system but not how you are talking about. I would think you will need to get with the vendor and the local provider to check everything.

Wow, I've heard of this type of integration with the CO before but never saw one. But it doesn't matter if it's a CO switch or a pbx, you would troubleshoot this the same way. Start off with the basics like making sure the date and time are correct. Sometimes the time is off by 12 hours. Have the users keep a log of when this happens and have tech support check the logs.

I have 1600 Centrex Lines here. I hope thats all going away in January. We are updating our our Toshiba DKT424 to the new CIX1200. We will be networking three units togeather. Then all our centrex lines will be replaced with PRIs. Any way the date and time is correct on our voice mail system.

I haven't really worked on a repartee in a while but I had a problem like this once at a hotel in california and I think I had to run the debug tools and do a scandisk to clear the problem. I think you just may have a corrupt file.

You can do what Dane says, by doing the following.
shut the voicemail service down.
go to the vmail directory in a DOS screen:
example: d:\vmail\ voiceserver.exe dbchk /f
It will first do a dignostic and search for corruption.. then it will do the fix by rebuilding the Ctree datatbase. Depending on how big the system is and how many users, it may take a little while. Are you getting any errors in the error logs for Dialogic?
