Just wanted to once again affirm that telephone/teletype collectors are among some of the nicest and most generous folk around. Also wanted to give a most sincere thank you to Matt1964 for the boxes and boxes of 1A2 phones and related gear! It is like Christmas in June. My collection of rotary 1A2 phones has tripled, and now at last I have enough 25 pair cable to finish my house 1A2 system. (At 2.50 a foot for non-plenum, I was not anxious to go buy 100 foot.) Being sunburned from head to toe, (12 YO grandson and I spent WAY too much time outside this weekend), I am moving quite slow, but this week I must hurry and install the shelf for my paging amp, which also came with the gift of phones.
Again, THANKYOU MATT1964!
Best,
Joe

I hope Matt didn't get rid of his 1A2 system and phones. I sure enjoyed watching the progress of his install!
I just got a very hard to find beige handset cord from Arthur Bloom, now I can make this 500 set look like new!

Hey all -
Thanks for the thanks!!!! Jeff, nope, havn't uninstalled the system, but have the house up for sale and that sad day will come, one way or another. But, Joe will get another Christmas!!!
It was really a pleasure giving them away to a fellow enthusiast; I didn't want to go the ebay route. Plus I got to meet Joe face to face, and he's a cool cat.

Matt, let me know if you end up getting rid of the phones, I seem to remember you had a red keyset...I'd be interested in that.

Hey Ken -
The dog is great! Good to hear from ya!
I'm hanging in there OK, just joining the ever growing ranks of the negative equity homeowner association group. The funny thing is the only thing about the house I'll really miss IS the 1A2 system!
