I cannot get vm to answer and have line ring on phone at the same time. phones has vm 114 and ve 214. Line set to normal ring on 114. 744 to 300, but call always goes to default 101 message. I know it is something i dont know or forgot. any ideas. thanks wayne

If you want the line that rings on x114 to go to mailbox 114 and not the main greeting, you will have to set that line to DIL to that extension in 22-02. You may also want to look at 22-07 and 22-08.

If I assign the line to 114 and put a trunk key on extension 112 for same line, will 112 ring 4 times or whateever and then go to 114 mailbox?

No you need to put an SIE key of 114 on 112 and program it to ring.

Thanks a lot,
So I set up ve 214 for 114, dil to 214, add *03 to all sets I want to ring, and put a 214 vm key on 114?
I am most appreciative for you help.
