I have a DSX 40 with a couple of bad C.O. ports (dialtone good into KSU, programming is correct, but fast busy when accessing these lines; inbound calls light up the lines but no talkpath when trying to answer).
Can I backup with 9041 and restore to a new KSU? should I use the IntraMail card or separate flash card? Any other concerns?
Thanks

Yes, you may backup either way.
My questions to you is how experienced are you on the DSX?

Have you tried the additional ports on the KSU?
Was the CO ports working previously? and did you install them?

If you download the CPU and there is programming issues, this same setup will follow.

Do not get confused with the RJ61 connector.

I can not tell from your profile what level you are at in Telecom, so i am asking many questions.

If your positive the ports are bad it'll be cheaper to install a 4 port co expansion card and go from there.

@ STS E
limited experience with the DSX; tried the 4th port; ports were working on Friday, but not on Monday; I did not originally install them; I understand the RJ61.
Just trying to make sure copy database to another cabinet, no issues. Thx

@ jkinkler
not sure I want to add new cards to a suspected damaged system

have you defaulted the co ports (1211)?

defaulted line config (3101) ?

I would do that and if that didn't do it default the system before changing out the cabinet .

how are you checking DT going into the system ?

I would unplug the RJ61X male at the system , plug it into a 8p8c female and verify right to that point .

what type of cables are they ?

the NEC cable or site made ?

how about loop current have you looked at that ?

what does NEC tech service say ?

Seems like there is a lot to do before swapping out the cabinet
