I have an Aspire system, in the process of setting it up, with the help of a dealer (the system was donated to my church).
I have changed the default calling method from voice announce to ring. I know that the caller can switch back to voice with a soft key (I left it enabled). I was wondering if I can set an individual extension to voice announce by default (in the daycare rooms, where privacy is not an issue, and the adult is not near the telephone set).
Thanks, Jim A.

Try dialing 821 to change to Voice intercom from those non privacy rooms.
Let me know if it works

Yup, my wife says it's OK.
Better yet, you pointed me in the right direction - 821 and 823 are both in the quick reference guide.
Now I know what the proper terminology is!
voice-announce = answerback
