I thought this would be a no-brainer but its stumping me so far. IVR 4 port connected to DSX analog ports. Outside calls need to be answered by IVR and sometimes transferred out to DSX multilines. Vendor wants calls to IVR to divert to multilines if no answer from IVR after 2 rings. (this is the one I'm having trouble with) Also multilines must be able to call and/or transfer to IVR (no problem). I started out with UCD group for IVR ports and a ring group for the multilines. Outside lines were DIL to UCD master. Only problem is UCD groups wont divert on unanswered calls. The only way Ive come up with is to DIL lines to a Ring group for the IVR ports (then DIL overflow will work). I wasnt able to test this because I didnt have an analog card on hand but it seems that it would ring all the IVR ports at once (just like a ring group of phones). Will this work? I feel that ringing all the ports might cause problems. Hopefully, I'm just overlooking the obvious! Steve

Its pretty sad that on Sunday night I'm posting questions and then answering them! I went back to programming and I may have solved it. Now I have the outside lines DIL to the first analog IVR port. The IVR ports are in a circular hunt group with RNA/Busy All calls. Internal calls to the IVR hunt when busy. cf RNA and transfer recall timers are set "long" so DIL overflow will pickup if the IVR is RNA. Since RNA is not an issue for inside callers(ie the only reason for this is to allow outside callers to be answered if the IVR is down). I still have a ring group for the multilines to ring when someone is transferred out of the IVR. Have I figured it out?

Hmmmmm, could be. Sounds like it should work. A lot of it has to do with accessing the IVR and what it will do. But, generically, it should work. And this is Monday morning.
