Please help me understand this system as I have never utilized this system and find it rather complex than most phone systems I've used.
I know how to go into my personal voice mail and change the message or to change personal or current or standard message greeting, but I do need to change the main greeting message for our office. In the user guide if I am even using the proper one "it states to Press Feature 70, then to press * to scroll options etc" but none of it works it just makes a bit like it is all incorrect with everything I'm doing. I did try contacting a toll free number and haven't had a response. I understand people are busy, however I am busy and do require some assistance with what the proper process is to change the main greeting of the entire phone system. Please help and I greatly appreciate your assistance, time and attention to this matter. Thanks for your help!!!

Somewhere, usually in a closet, electrical room, or a bathroom, there will be a big box hanging on the wall with big telephone cables coming into it. That is the KSU or PBX unit. It will have a logo on the side of the box. Write down everything that you see on the box and post it here.
You should be able to change your greeting by doing what you normally do to listen to messages.
When you log in, it should offer options.
If the system uses softkeys, one of the softkeys will say PERS (for personal options). You may have to press a softkey that says MORE or >>> to find the PERS softkey.
When you press PERS, one of the options will be GREET. When you press GREET, you will hear instructions that will guide you to change your greeting.
If your system uses "YES or NO" prompts, Press 2 for "No" until the system says "Personal Options?" Then press 1 for "Yes." When the system asks about greetings, say yes. The system will give you instructions for changing the greeting.
If your system uses menus, press 7 for personal options, then 4 for greetings. The system will then guide you.

Hmmm.
It looks like that the last post was telling you what you already know.
I'm assuming that your voicemail is an ActiveVoice based system...most NEC's are.
Hopefully you have Manager access or this won't work.
Access System manager from your mailbox by pressing MORE or >>>> , next press MGR (not PERS) , then GREET.
The system will then say it is in Day or Night Mode and ask you if you want to change to holiday or alternate greeting mode...press 2 for "no"
It should then ask you if you want to change the greetings for "opening box" press 1 for yes...listen to the remaining prompts. Press * to end recording. If you're satisfied, hang up...good to go.
