I purchased an Elite 192 from Ebay for our volunteer firehouse. I am not a phone guy but I am a computer guy so I am familiar to a ceratin level...
A quick background of the system cards...
CPU/EXP = CPU-B(600)-U10 ETU S1 = ESI(8)-U10 ETU S2 = ESI(8)-U10 ETU S3 = COID(8)-U10 ETU S4 = COID(8)-U10 ETU S8 = FMS(2)-U10 ETU
I guess I will start with the basics here... What do I have in this system? I know something, I do know that I can use 16 stations and 16 incoming lines. I assume the COID means that it will support CID? Now for the FMS, I know it is voicemail, just what are the specifics?
The main thing is this... What software do I need to program this machine? Where can I find it? I noticed the FMS has a DB9 connector, can I program the system from that or is that for the voicemail only?
Thanks in advance!

Looks like you've got a system capable of handling 16 digital phonesets and 16 copper CO lines with caller ID, and a 2 port voicemail unit.
You can program the voicemail unit from the 9 pin connection on the fron of that card but you will need the software called "co-sessions" to do it.

What would I need to program the unit from a PC? Are both of the softwares available for download or purchase?
I have seen MIFM cards on Ebay, I assume I would need that and the SAT program?

correct, but all programming can be done through any display phone, and I personally find that method much easier to understand.

I may be able to obtain both softwares and the needed card for $100. I may go that route for the programming portion.
As I am looking at the phones I am starting to wonder, are there blank inserts for them? I assume that there are so I suppose the question is, where can you get those? I am talking about the paper labels behind the plastic windows.
Is there a hardware manual available for the unit or is everything done through the phone/software? If I remove or add a system card, does the system automatically reconfigure itself?

Desi.com doesn't carry NEC labels although you use their software to print them. . You have to get the labels from NEC.

So I was able to procure the software and blank labels. I have also been able to get the configuration software and MIF card. Now I am just about ready to fire this sucker up!
Are there any manuals out there, especially for the voicemail card?
