hello guys im in a fix again. customer has a elite 48 with an inskin vm. and the battery on the processor card is bad. i put the thing in for him used and programed it for him and the vm was ok. now he moved again and took it out himself. i installed it today but the vm gives a busy signal when i dial 300 and the display says error. i checked the programs to make sure i got them right and they seem ok. on the card the top led is lit, the ch 1 to 4 are lit and the bios led is lit. i think he has a 2 port vm. would the lights indicate otherwise. i dont see a reset button on the vm card. does anyone have any ideas. thanks dave

Wow, could be a million things.
Programs to check:
7-1 card is assigned to correct slot 7-2 ports are assigned as digital VM 4-10 ports are assigned with ext #'s 4-14 ports are assigned as master = yes 4-15 port 1 hunts to port 2 port 2 hunts to port 3 etc... 1-8-26 Vm pilot assigned here
reset is a small black toggle switch toward the top of the card, slide it down, wait 30 secs pull card from slot. push card back in, wait 10 secs push toggle up, wait for vm to boot 2-5 mins.
HDD activity light should flicker while booting, when boot up is done BCLR light should go green.

If channels 1-4 are on you would get a busy. They should go off after re-boot, if not something is wrong.

yes just rest the voicemail card using the toggle switch that doghart mentioned above. Follow his instructions, it is ok. Like dans said if channel lights 1-4 are lit you have a problem. These should not stay solid red. The reboot should help and if they still stay solid after a reset than something is wrong with the card. It sounds like this is a 4 port vm to find out on the side of the card you will see letters like fms-2 fms-4 or vms 2. this will tell you the type of card and how many ports.
