I have an NEC Electra Elite and we are losing five physical extensions. We need to forward these extensions to cell phones. How do I do this?

I have been searcing all over but cannot find the correct information.

Thank you!

First, Trunk-to-Trunk assignment must be turned on in programming for this to work. Your vendor can do this for you if it hasn't been assigned.

To transfer an extension off-site:
Press [FEATURE]
Dial 60
Dial 9 then the cell phone number
Press [FEATURE]

If trunk-to-trunk programming is not set, you will know as soon as you dial the 9.

Since call forwarding won't work with the physical phone unplugged, you'll have to delete these extensions as "real phones" and assign them to virtual ports.

Then you'll have to cfd each virtual ext offsite to the cell numbers.

how do I assign them to virtual ports? We are having the phones disconnected at 2:00 PM and I really need this done. I have not been able to get a vendor out here. I have the programming guide but cannot figure out how to assign virtual ports.

thanks!

Be advised, call forward off-prmise for call arrival keys is supported by version 4000 or higher. To check your version press feature, dial 3 on your dialpad from a LCD phone.

If you do in fact can support this feature, it must be set up in system programming. It is not on by default. Since you waited until the last minute, you will need someone to "walk" you thru accessing the CPU's database. Call your NEC vendor to assist you & pay for remote support.

Sorry for being late, btw...

Good luck!
