Hello I am a small-business owner who has invested a lot of time researching new phone systems to replace our Inter-tel Axxent. My favorite so-far is the new UX5000. However, my dealer is not really up to speed on it yet (although they are trying hard), and even NEC has provided some sketchy answers to my questions. Now I just read the skeptical postings on this forum about the SV8100/8300, and I'm even more concerned. Would it be correct to say that SV8100 and UX5000 are first cousins? Have any of you experienced the same teething problems installing the UX5000? This seems to be the "system of the future" for Aspire dealers, but do the forum members feel it's ready for prime time now?

We are a dealer in Connecticut. we have installed approximately 15 UX5000. Coincidentally we are a Inter-Tel dealer also. The UX5000 is a great product with no problems as of yet. The first one we installed was about 2 months ago. Do you have any questions I can answer? It has some of the same feature set(s) as the SV8000 line.

DSX, the difference is price and features. You get more with the UX5000. We are a dealer in Charlotte,NC. itsfred as offered by 2 strings let me know if you have any questions. You can't go wrong with the UX5000 and I am a Nortel, 3Com and Allworx dealer as well and just as I am a small business owner, if I had to choose it would be a UX5000

We pretty much have stopped selling the Aspire when the UX5000 came out. Quite honestly I can't see any Aspire Dealer not jumping and selling the UX5000 because it is a better system and the phones are really nice...especially the desi-less and backlit phones. Besides, if you know how to install and program an Aspire this isn't that much different.

Pricing is a function of cost plus dealer markup, so YMMV.
