I recently replaced an Expressions Compact in a HiPath 3550 version 4 system. I uploaded a saved database and everything seems to work ok except- When the Auto Attendant answers there is a 4-5 second gap before the greeting is played. There is also a 4-5 second gapwhen someone calls an extension and the mailbox greeting is played. I did check the setting in Manager E for time before AA greeting is played and that is set to 1 second. Anyone have an idea how I can shorten these times? Thanks

What version is the IVM? This is a known problem with certain versions. Does the same thing happen when a user accesses their mailbox? The problem is known as slow prompts. Depending on the IVM version an upgrade may be in the picture. You can try to reset the IVM via manager by using the maintenance function. If you reset/reload the IVM card and the problem goes away for awhile but comes back then upgrade the IVM.
Also what is the software version of the switch? If you upgrade the IVM you might have to upgrade the switch too.
