STS 4x8x2, with phones on ext 100 to 104 only. Set up "guest" mailboxes 105 to 111. Deleted the ext no. in the mailbox assignment screen for these. Programmed flex buttons as 460XXX on required phones. I can leave and retrieve messages but the flex light does not come on when there are messages. I believe I have done this successfully in the past, but can;t make it work this time. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Steve

You must leave the extension number in the appropriate field in order for it to know which message waiting indicator to light. Go all the way to the right in the "mailbox" screen and change "Direct Xfer" to on.

Thanks Ed, I must have been having a "senior moment" the other day.

Ed, Added the extension number, but could only change the transfer direct to mailbox from each mailbox option 3 , 4. I worked fine. Thanks again Steve

Well, there is my own senior moment too. I forgot that you need to set that in each mailbox from the user level. I'm still not sure why, but now that you mentioned this, it came right back to me. Thanks for the feedback, Steve.

You can turn direct transfer on/off from the progam interface. Simply scroll to the "Direct" column and press "1" to turn direct transfer on, and "0" to turn it off.

I agree Larry, but I've encountered several situations lately where it shows as being active on the screen, but it is not. I don't know why, so I have just started doing them manually.
