I have a customer with two remote sites and the main. Main branch has a PRI with all other branches recieving their DIDs from the main branch. We upgraded the MPB2 at the main branch and now the remote sites do not recieve cid info on their DIDs. It just says LINE xx ringing.
Any help would be apprecitated.
Upgraded from 2.23 to 3.0

Are the remote sites 3.0? I have never really had any luck with running different software versions at different sites, the caller ID was always goofy. Would display wrong info, or out of order, or shifted where only the last few digits would display.

The remote sites are not running the new software they are running 2.22. If you upgrade do you have to do something with the Networking software it should be on there (correct). Also found out that during the upgrade they also switched out the MPB2 for a new one.

The option for name/number display when using PRI may not have enabled when you did the upgrade. Make sure that flash 41 button 9 is enabled. Also to get both name and number create a flex button code 653 on each phone that wants both. For remote sites to recieve any name info, both DID and or extensions, then messaging has to be enabled in the network tables, plus you have to have a network code which will go away if you change out the mpb. Dial 605 on any phone at any site and see if you still have the code. If not you may be able to get Vertical to transfer the old code (based on serial number of the KSU) to the new MPB..they might do it but who knows for sure.

you were right on with the network code. Called Vertical and they gave me the new code for the new MPB and it worked. All sites have to have the networking software.
thanks guys
