Looking for an option that will work like service observe/monitor on the SBX IP 320. There is a monitor option, but that sounds a tone in the monitored stations handset, customer will not accept this. I am not using the ACD function on this application. Any info would be great.

Take a look at page 27 in the features and users guide. This will allow you to listen in on a conversation.
1 turn auto privacy off pgm 161 flex 5
2 turn privacy warning tone off pgm 161 flex 6
3 assign override privileges pgm 113 flex 4

Press the co line button of the call to be monitored then push the mute soft key button,

or program an intrusion button to access a busy ext. Note that either way you have to press the softkey mute button after connecting, but there is no warning tone.

If this is not what you wanted then I apoligise for taking up your time.

I think that will work for the customer as long as they remember to hit the mute key. Too bad there is not a way to mute the phone before pressing the CO. Thank you for your help.

I just had time to look at my manuals again. The system will do what you want. Assign the monitor mode to monitor mode in prg 113 flex key 13. Turn off privacy and privacy warning tone prg 161
enable override privileges in prg 113. See SBX IP 320 phone user guide page 1-10 on how to use.
I don't think I left out anything. This is not a feature that I would wish on anyone.
