I JUST INSTALL A STSe, EVERYTHING IS WORKING, BUT WE KEEP GETTING A VOICEMAIL ALARM 2 3.ALL 8 PORTS APPEAR TO BE WORKING, IT SEEMS TO COME ON DURING THE NIGHT. WHAT DOES IT MEAN, AND HOW DO I FIX IT. WE CLEAR THE ALARM, AND IT COMES BACK DURING THE NIGHT

It would almost appear that something is going on when the processor of the STSe is talking to the VM over night. It does this every night to sync time and the proccessor does some stuff as well. Might be a place to look. Have you tried another VM card?

Paul, did you initialize both systems before programming them?

i don,t have another board, I did the system, but not sure about the vm. Will I lose the vm program if I initialize it?

If this is a flash VM, then you will loose the messages and mailbox greetings. The prompts and other programming should remain.

I've never had a voice-mail alarm, so I really can't offer more assistance. I do know that the flash VM will end up doing some strange things if it is not initialized before installation.

I would also unplug the vm board, and reinstall it.

of course, power down the unit first :thumb:
