I RECENTLY ADVERTISED A PHONE SYSTEM ON CRAIGSLIST. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM JESSICA BRUNO STATING THAT SHE WANTED TO BUY THE SYSTEM. IN HER EMAIL ALL SHE WANTED WAS AN ADDRESS TO SEND THE CHECK, SO I GAVE IT TO HER. WHEN I E MAILED HER BACK TO ASK ABOUT INSTALLING IT SHE SAID THAT SHE HAD SOMEONE TO DO IT FOR HER. I ALSO ASKED HER DOES SHE WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE SYSTEM LIKE WHAT BRAND, MODEL, CONDITION AND SO ON THE ANSWER WAS NO.
THE EQUIP WAS FOR 1195.00 SHE SAID THE CHECK WAS ON THE WAY FOR 2500.00 AND TO JUST SEND HER THE DIFFERENCE VIA A WESTERN UNION ACCOUNT IN ENGLAND.
CHECK CAME FEDEX OVERNIGHT SENDER ON FEDEX WAS SCOTT IN COLORADO, GOOGLED SCOTT CALLED HIM TO FIND HIS IDENTY WAS STOLEN. JUST WANTED EVERYONE THAT THIS IS HER EMAIL Jessica Bruno <[email protected]>

I don't think I would use craigs list to buy and sell stuff. Too many wanna be crooks on there.

ANYTIME you get a note, letter, e-mail, phone call, or any other communication, that wants you to deposit a check to your account and send some of it someplace else via Western Union, DON'T DO IT. Got to be one of the most common scams around. The check you deposit will be no good, but you won't find out for 2-3 weeks. The money you sent to the check provider is GONE, as well as whatever you shipped. John C.
