First I have never even seen one of these things. I have a customer (a Computer/Network company) that has a customer that has one of these things. My customer is moving his customer and they need the phone system moved. They asked me if I could do it. So the question is: Is there anything more to moving this system other than turning it off and moving it to the new rack? Is there a specific procedure to shutting it down? I have skimmed through the manual and seen nothing yet.

Thanks for any suggestions

Walk, don't run, away from this thing unless you want to buy the newest version.

Had a lawyer call saying his "phone" system he got off of a GC buddy just wasn't working right. Turned out it was a "new" install. It is MD, and parts did and did not work. Frustrated lawyer, I took a look, thanked him for the oppurtunity to see this thing, and left.

Good Luck!

Just make sure you do a proper shutdown. I would recommend that you do a backup prior to shutting it down.

This system uses explorer as the Admin system. when you type in the system IP address you will get into the Adm. screen. Per the previous statement do a backup. Then do a shutdown through Adm. However pulling the dam plug works.
the biggest danger of course is a failed processor on restart. However parts are available on the resale market. But if the processor fails you would loose the license rights for any features other that standard.
