Toshiba Strata DK40i and Stratagy external Voicemail system.

Does anyone have a clue why my call attendant is sending calls to a different extension than what the caller selected?

This is what happens:
Caller dials in to the main number. Call attendant answers and caller selects extension 17 but is instead transfered to 15. This also happens if the caller dials 20 he is transfered to 16.

Any help in resolving or diagnosing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have done some programming on the Toshiba system, but I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

1. The Stratagy could be programmed to route calls that way, check the programming in the Stratagy, specifically the extension number assigned to mb 17 and 20.

2. Ext 17 could be forwarded to 15 and ext 20 to 16, if so, cancel the forwarding.

How do I program the Stratagy? I know I can program the DK40i from station 00 (ext 10) but I am not sure how to get to the Stratagy. The voicemail administrator doesn't appear to have any forwarding options either.

Maybe there is a piece of programming equipment that I do not have?

You are limited on Stratagy programming via DKT and one thing you cannot do is to check or change an extension on an existing mailbox. You will need to get the admin software to manage this Stratagy system.

That is not true, you CAN change the extension number via a phone. You will need to log into the system admin box to make the change.

Steve,

I logged into the system admin mailbox and went through all the options. I can't find any options that will allow me to match extensions with ports or mailboxes.

Steve, I know you can change a mailbox's extension when creating the mailbox, but can it be done on an existing mailbox? If so, can you change the extension from supervised xfer to blind xfer without deleting the mailbox and recreating it or without taking a hike to the truck to fetch the laptop?

Steve,

The extensions that were there were 20 for 20 and 17H for 17. The automated attendant transfers ext 17 to 15 and 20 to 16.

What does the H do? Do I need that on ext 20?

It appears that the stratagy settings are already correct? What else might the problem be?
